Nordihaus If you don't ski, then we will teach you. Our ski school offers instruction in Alpine and Snowboard Skiing. Our packages include a 1 hour introductory lesson for the beginner that will include instruction in putting on your skis, taking them off, walking, stopping, turning on very gentle slopes and riding the lift. Timberline Ski School is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America

Want to take your scouts, youth group or school class on an inexpensive overnight weekend or weekday trip? Then come stay with us in one of our two bunkhouses. Our packages, Sunday thru Friday, include an all day lift ticket (from opening to closing, even if there is night skiing), regular downhill ski equipment rental and a Level 1 beginners ski lesson. 7/23/2010	Bluegrass with Fiddlin' Mike
7/23/2010- 7/25/2010 As part of ongoing themed weekend celebrations, Timberline Four Seasons Resort will hold another bluegrass weekend July 23rd-25th. The recognition of bluegrass music by the resort is appropriate because of the extensive contribution of West Virginia performers to bluegrass music. These West Virginia contributors include Kathy Mattea, West Virginia Grammy Award-Winning country music star, who has emerged as a critically acclaimed artist in the ethnic music of her West Virginia roots including folk, Celtic and bluegrass. Another major contributor to the bluegrass heritage of bluegrass music is Wilma Lee Cooper from Randolph County, West Virginia, who is recognized as having a major influence on the evolution of bluegrass and country music from 1950 until 2000. Over the weekend at Timberline, bluegrass heritage will be portrayed by renditions by Fiddlin’ Mike and his Fiddlin’ Around Band, local performers and Sonshine Rivers. There will be no cover charge for any of the performances. Fiddlin’ Mike is a three time Pennsylvania champion fiddler. Until recently he has been a regular at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Park in Tennessee. The scenic chairlift, stables, bike shop and food and beverage services will be operational all weekend. 8/26/2010- 8/29/2010 This event promises to be the region’s fastest growing motorcycle rally. The rally will include motorcycle rides into The Allegheny Mountains and its Eastern Continental Divide, poker runs, night parties with live biker bands (e.g. Thunderstruck, Brother Short), DJ/karaoke parties, vendors, a variety of biker games, motorcycle shows, and prizes. Timbers Pub and Fireside Grill are open early until late. Seafood and barbeque rib specials will be served. Join the late night party with dancing under the stars on the ski lodge deck. 9/10/2010	Autumn Color Exploration Mountain Trail Ride
9/10/2010- 9/12/2010 High altitude mountain trail rides over this portion of West Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains. Horseback enthusiasts ride to the Eastern Continental divide over thousands of acres and mountain terrain. Expect flaming colors of autumn to arrive early at these higher elevations (about 4,000 feet). Timberline stables will be open daily or bring your own horses. There is ample room to park horse trailers on the resort property at the base of the mountain. For riders on Friday and Saturday, Timberline will sponsor live western and country music on the deck of the main lodge in full view of Herz Mountain. Square dancing and dance instruction is scheduled both Friday and Saturday evenings. Barbeque ribs with all the fixings will be served on the deck or inside Timber’s Pub. Guests are encouraged to wear western style dress. Pack lunches can be provided upon request. Timberline’s scenic 1,000 foot vertical chairlift ride to the 4,263 foot elevation will be operational Saturday and Sunday. Mountain biking will be available at the bike shop in the main lodge.
